Gin has been an integral part of British culture ever since the Gin Craze of the 1800s and now you can get ready for a great gin bar revival in town. Baytree Property are delighted to hear that planning permission has been approved and a premises licence application has been submitted for a trendy new gin bar set to open in Chester city centre.
Barista's Coffee Co. in Watergate Street is being transformed into a new Gin Bar to add to the mix of a growing number of bars opening in the city centre. Chester city centre is undergoing a transformation of its own as new destination bars are springing up all over to offer locals a diverse range of drinking experiences.
'Providence Gin' is the planned name for the new gin bar, a name that pays homage to the building which is known as God's Providence House with a proposed daily opening hours of 10am until 1am.
Alcohol would be supplied on and off the premises between 10am and 12.30am, and from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on New Year’s Day. What’s more the licence is requesting a permit for live and recorded music between 10am and 12.30am, as well as during the proposed New Year hours of trading.
Preston-based SBNW, which specialises in pubs and bars, is behind the submitted premises licence application to Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The application also proposes late night refreshment daily from 11pm until midnight, and during the proposed New Year arrangements.
